What You Need for the 8-Week Program
During our free consultation call, we’ll discuss everything you need for the program. However, if you’d like to prepare ahead of time, here’s a list of equipment that will be used throughout the 8 weeks. These workouts can be done at home or at a local gym.
If you have a friend to go through the program with, it’s even better! But if you’re unsure about going solo, we can also discuss 1:1 training during the call.
Equipment Needed
Dumbbells
What you need: Multiple sets, with weights that match your current strength and fitness level.
Why they matter: Dumbbells will help you build strength and balance through progressive resistance.
Recommended options: See sample pictures below. I prefer the second style—they’re easier to clean and last longer.
Where to buy: Available on Amazon, Walmart, Target, Dunham’s Sports, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Academy Sports, and other retailers.
Stability Ball
What you need: A ball sized according to your height. Most participants will need 23–26 inches (58–65 cm).
Why it matters: A stability ball challenges your balance and engages your core during exercises.
Recommended option: I suggest one with a little grip for added safety and comfort as the program progresses. The one below is a great option at a great price point.
Exercise Step
What you need: A sturdy step, preferably adjustable to different heights.
Why it matters: This versatile tool will be used for a variety of exercises to improve strength and endurance.
Recommended options:
The first step is budget-friendly and a great starting point.
The Reebok step (what I use in my gym) is durable and easy to adjust for advanced workouts. While not necessary, it’s a worthwhile investment if you’re building a long-term fitness setup.
Balance Foam Pad (Optional)
What you need: A foam pad (optional but helpful).
Why it matters: Adds an extra challenge to balance-focused exercises and can be used to enhance core and stability work.
Recommended option: I’ve included an affordable option below; although, there are more durable options available.
